January/February 2019 | Recap

Hello friends!

Welcome to the first of a new series on our Kappa blog. We are starting a new monthly series that will share all the highlights of our lives at Samford and in Kappa Chapter. Be sure to follow along so you don’t miss out on all the happenings!

Our sisters came back to Samford at the end of January to a busy Step Sing season. We had girls involved in multiple shows, including Freshman Girls, Freshman Ladies, Unclassified, IGnite, Spectrum, and of course, our ADPi show. (Shout out to our directors: Katie Saxon (Ladies), Abbie Lee Webster (Girls), Kenzie Krantz (Unclassified), Alexis Amann (IGnite), and Madeline Allred, Emily Allred and Mackenzie Epps for ADPi). Clearly our girls are talented AND involved!

Coming back as the reigning winners was a tough job to do, BUT our girls rose to the occasion to become TWO TIME champs! Our fearless directors brought together another fun and sharp show, Independence Day, where we were able to transform from normal 20-something girls into Toy Soldiers. We are so proud of everyone involved across campus!

This win started February off on the right foot. We then celebrated Galentine’s Day with yummy treats and a PJ party in the house. Thanks to our amazing Sisterhood Chair, Meredith Stone, for pulling together a fabulous and fun night!

The rest of February included a visit to the Ronald McDonald House of Alabama and many more sisterhood memories.

See you back here in March for our Spring Break Recap!
